USA RELEASE: SWANSON HARDWARE SUPPLY REALIZING HIGHER SPENDING FROM CONSUMERS, BUSINESSES FOLLOWING JULY LAUNCH OF VISIBLE RESULTS LOYALTY PROGRAM - 4 September 2002

Visible Results USA, Inc and Swanson Hardware Supply (part of the True Value family) today announced that the Swanson's Rewards loyalty program, launched in late July, is already producing strong increases in spending from consumer and business members.

The Vineland, NJ retailer's program has two distinct offers, one for general consumers, the other aimed at over 500 local businesses Swanson supplies. Program participants earn points for shopping in any of Swanson's five business units - general hardware, communications, equipment rental, equipment repair and industrial supplies. Utilizing Visible Results' patented GraphiCardT technology in which updated data and offers are displayed right on the card, each program provides cash-back coupons and a range of prizes supplied by vendors.

To date, average spend per transaction for consumer members is running 25% higher than non-members, while business members' average spend is almost double that of non-members. "Enrollment rates have exceeded expectations and customer feedback has been enthusiastic," said Phil Vitale, Operations Manager for Swanson. "We identified the need for a loyalty program some time ago, mainly to protect against future competition but also to boost our overall sales," Mr. Vitale explained. "We know we need to differentiate ourselves from the big-box retailers moving into this area, and a loyalty program is essential to this strategy."

As part of the planning process Mr. Vitale investigated a number of loyalty providers. "Visible Results was ultimately chosen because of the flexibility of the GraphiCardT platform," he noted. "We needed something that would allow us to change the program as we grew, and provide enough options to cater to multiple audiences. The deciding factor was the ability to use the rewritable card face as an advertising medium. We've been able to trade advertisements on the card for rewards from vendors and program partners, which is an enormous advantage."
