Press Release: For Immediate Release GRAPHICARD SHOWS RESULTS - 12 April 2002 - Ad News, AustraliaRetail coaching business Retail Results has formed partnership with CRM solutions company Visible Results to take advantage of its GraphiCard - a technology that does away with the paperwork involved with loyalty programs. About the size of a credit card, the GraphiCard can display information and graphics and is instantly rewritable over 50 times. Retailers can create loyalty programs where consumers can sign up instantly, with no forms to fill. Companies can offer prizes in exchange for advertising on the card, and consumers can simply go to a store and swipe their card to check their points tally and whether they have won a prize. Bookseller Dymocks has been giving the GraphiCard a test run over the past year with its loyalty program called the Booklovers Club. "I did my due diligence and spoke to Dymocks prior to putting on this card," said Retail Results owner Tony Gattari. Timer were becoming more difficult (for bookshops) with retailers selling books. Dymocks was looking for something to make consumers come back to them rather than someone else." Between July and December 2001, the company signed up 150,000 consumers, reported a 9% jump in sales with no margin erosion, improved supplier relationships, and the average store purchase for a cardholder was $45 compared to the chain's traditional average of $30. Gattari said the product was perfected during its implementation at Dymocks and is now ready to be applied commercially. "We have been going out to a number of retailers to offer them the GraphiCard," he said.
